Oxfam in Myanmar is looking for a Women’s Empowerment Programme Manager.
Oxfam in Myanmar is implementing a women’s leadership and gender equality project in Rakhine State which aims to transform gender and power relations to empower women to actively and meaningfully participate in decision-making processes within their households and their communities. The project operates at the humanitarian and development nexus and prioritizes a gender transformative and conflict sensitive approach –engaging women, men, girls, boys and community leaders from a range of different communities living in internally displaced person (IDP) camps and villages across four townships in Rakhine State. The project takes an adaptive and participatory approach to programming and works in partnership with local organizations.
The Women’s Empowerment Programme Manager has overall responsibility for management of the project and relevant partner and donor relations. The successful candidate will work in Oxfam’s Sittwe office and lead a small team to provide strategic direction, and ensure effective implementation of project activities. The Women’s Empowerment Programme Manager will represent the project, build relationships with project stakeholders, and ensure regular coordination with, and reporting to, the donor.
